Born from the local community of pizzaioli wanting to honor 'the queen of the table,' this festival celebrates Pizza di Vico — the only pizza in Italy to hold official De.Co. municipal recognition, its style built on local ingredients like provolone del monaco and fior di latte. Over 100 master pizzaioli from more than 25 local pizzerias fill the historic centre's streets and piazzas with wood-fired ovens; net proceeds go toward local promotion and charity. 'Vico Equense is a benchmark for anyone who loves good food,' says mayor Peppe Aiello.
