111th edition of Pecetto's cherry festival, its promotional roots tracing to Turin's International Exposition of 1911; the fruit itself was recognized as a Traditional Agri-Food Product in 2001. Since 1983, FACOLT (Frutticoltori Associati Collina Torinese) has run cultivation research and quality initiatives behind the festival's market stalls. The weekend opens with a 'Cena in Rosso' community dinner and the ceremonial investiture of the 'Bela Ceresera' and 'Munsù Grafiun,' the festival's traditional costumed figures, followed by a pomological judging of Pecetto's cherry cultivars.
