A three-day sausage festival in Piazza Italia, in the Asti hills town where Don Bosco was born — sautissa grilled, with polenta, in sauce, or stuffed into rustic focacce, paired with the town's own DOC wines, Malvasia and Freisa. The highlight is the 'Corsa dei Butaj,' a race in which the town's districts compete rolling large wine barrels through the streets, followed by a parade of allegorical floats and vintage tractors.
