A festival for Acquaviva's own sweet, flattened red onion — DOP-protected and a Slow Food Presidium — traditionally sold in hand-braided plaits called 'serte.' The event paused for five years, partly due to the pandemic, before its 2024 revival brought guided tours of the onion fields, an aperitivo among the crops, and a closing concert by a nationally known Italian singer.
